About
Western Pennsylvania Golf Hall of Fame

Celebrating the lengthy, rich, and storied history
of the game of golf in Western Pennsylvania

The Western Pennsylvania Golf Association celebrated its centennial in 1998 & 1999. Part of the celebration was to recognize 100 area golfers and others who had an impact on the game. The Association established the Western Pennsylvania Golf Hall of Fame in 2013 to continue the celebration of accomplishments in, and service and contributions to, the game of golf in our region.

The mission of the Hall of Fame is to celebrate the game’s history in Western Pennsylvania by honoring those who have made an impact on the game on and off the golf course.

The Hall of Fame Committee will make several decisions about the Western Pennsylvania Golf Hall of Fame. Western Pennsylvania has an abundance of great players, golf course architects, leaders, officials and media worth celebrating. Players must have either won or achieved significantly at the association, state or national level to be considered. Inductees must also have strong connections to this region.

The committee will select classes annually. The Association’s Fall Players Dinner is the most likely occasion to celebrate inductions. Many outstanding players and those significantly involved in the game have roots in the region. The Hall of Fame will be an interesting and vibrant part of the Association’s programming going forward.
